ANSA MOTORSPORTS READY TO SHINE WITH THREE CARS AT FARA MIAMI 500

The Thanksgiving weekend is the date of one of the most recognized club racing events in the United States, the FARA Miami 500. The FARA event starts on Saturday, November 26 with qualifying for the 500 race. The four-hour endurance classic is set for Sunday, November 27 at 1:00 p.m. EDT. Every year this event is a great opportunity for 2014 FARA Miami 500 overall-winner ANSA Motorsports to compete at the highest level of club racing with some of its most active clients. This weekend, ANSA Motorsports returns to the 2016 FARA Miami 500 with three potential class-winning team contenders. The first team is the No. 113 KTM X-Bow GT4 (MP-2A class) which will be co-driven by two women drivers, Ines Taittinger and Laura Kraihamer. The two racers are two of the most competitive female racers worldwide. They will drive the KTM that won the 2016 Pireli World Challenge GTS championship with Brett Sandberg. presentation1 Taittinger will compete in her first North American race, as will Kraihamer. Both women are racing in different, top racing series in Europe. Taittinger drove an LMP2 prototype in her first 24 Hours of Le Mans this year and competed in a P2 car in the European Le Mans Series all-season. Kraihamer is a GT racing specialist and a specialist of the KTM X-Bow GT4. She competed in the 2016 GT4 European Series and finished second in the Reiter Young Stars competition in the female driver’s class. ines-5laura-2 The second entry of the three teams of drivers entered by ANSA Motorsports is the No. 114 AUDI R8 LMS to be co-driven by long-time ANSA customer, Eric Johnson and 18-years-old American Ernie Francis Jr. They will be one of the top contenders to win the MP-1A class. Francis, Jr. and Johnson won the 2015 FARA Homestead 500 at Homestead Miami Speedway with ANSA Motorsports. Drivers and teams take to the track for the three hour endurance race finale at the FARA USA Spring Challenge at Homestead-Miami Speedway. ANSA Motorsports will have another Audi R8 LMS entry to contend for the class-win in the 2016 FARA Miami 500. The No. 222 car will be co-driven by Chris Fountas and 2016 Pirelli Word Challenge GTS Champion, Brett Sandberg. Sandberg drove an Audi R8 LMS in the 2013 IMSA Weather Tech Championship and he is looking to race hard and collect another big trophy with ANSA Motorsports.
