ANSA Motorsports to race at "The Classic 24 At Daytona" ANSA Motorsports is seen by many experts as one of the best club racing and historic racing specialists. This week, ANSA Motorsports will compete in the Classic 24 At Daytona with one of the most legendary sportscars ever built, the Porsche 962. Five days of exciting on and off track action, including HSR’s sprint and endurance race series, driver's panel, and night practice all leading up to the start of “The Classic 24 at Daytona” at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 15, and finishing 24 hours later on Sunday. Long time ANSA Motorsports client, Ray Langston will compete in the 2014 with his iconic Porsche 962/70 F6 2v SOHC 2869 cc Turbo. Ray’s 962 finished 6th in the 1987 25th Annual SunBank 24 at Daytona. The challenging 3.56-mile road course at the Speedway has been the proving ground for international sports-car racing since 1962 when Dan Gurney won the three-hour Daytona Continental in the Arciero Lotus-Climax 19B. Since then, the long-distance enduros at Daytona have been the scene of some of history's most spectacular races featuring the great marques and drivers of the day. Ferrari, Porsche, BMW, Jaguar, Ford, Chevrolet, Nissan, Toyota, Lola, and Riley are just a few of the manufacturers that have found success at the famous Florida track. ABOUT HSR: In HSR, the cars are the stars, and spectators are treated to prior winners of great events such as the 12 Hours of Sebring, 24 Hours of Le Mans and 24 Hours of Daytona. Events are as educational as they are adrenaline-inducing, as fans are exposed to pieces of history at the track. HSR events represent fast-paced, wheel-to-wheel racing. To keep competition close, cars are generally grouped according to age and engine size for racing. HSR features several separate series, which range from the heart-pumping GTP/Group C Series featuring GTP prototypes to the Hawk Performance Endurance Series presented by B.R.M., which includes historic production and prototype sports cars.
