ANSA MOTORSPORTS TO RACE KTM X-BOWS IN THE 2016 PIRELLI WORLD CHALLENGE GTS CLASS
Led by Team Owner Alain Nadal, ANSA Motorsports will compete next season in the 2016 Pirelli World Challenge GTS class with the all-new KTM X-BOW GT4 race car. The car, built by REITER Engineering, will make its first United States appearance next week at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca in Salinas, Calif.
In 2015, the KTM X-BOW GT4 showed an impressive performance. With its multiple victories in the GT4 European Series and with scoring a podium finish in every race that the car was entered in so far, it is the new kid on the GT4 block.
Freshly landed from Germany, ANSA Motorsports’ first KTM X-BOW GT4 will be on display at the team’s transporter for teams, drivers and media to see it, up close and personal.
“We are very excited to bring the first KTM X-BOW GT4 to the United States,” Nadal said. “We will enter KTM X-Bows next season in the Pirelli World Challenge, and we hope to compete for the 2016 GTS championship with our drivers.”
The KTM X-BOW GT4 features the most advanced racing technology, which is usually only the case in higher categories. In matters of safety, the monocoque technology offers a never-before-seen, unique protection for this class to date. The vehicle showcases the typically futuristic KTM design. Not only is the overall design impressive, but the technology behind the completely redesigned exterior is state-of-the-art. Since the new car is based on its predecessor KTM X-BOW, essentially the customer gets a racing car with more than six years of accumulated data and experience on circuits worldwide. The new X-BOW GT4 made its debut May 2015 in the European GT4 series and already has won its first Championship in the GT4 AM drivers class.
Earlier this year, Nadal reached an agreement with REITER Engineering’s owner, Hans Reiter, to become a REITER Engineering dealer. Since then, ANSA Motorsports markets the REITER Engineering Lamborghini Gallardo GT3, the REITER Engineering SaReNi Camaro GT3 and the new, exciting KTM X-BOW GT4 race car.
“In addition to racing the KTM X-Bow GT4 in 2016, ANSA Motorsports is still studying options to continue racing a Porsche GT3 Cup in the GT-Cup class and/or other cars in GTA and/or GT class, including the new Pirelli World Challenge Sprint-X GT Championship Series,” said ANSA Motorsports Executive Consultant Emmanuel Lupe. “We are looking for the 2016 rules, regulations and schedule to be announced for each Pirelli World Challenge series, before making our decisions.”
ANSA Motorsports plans to expand its racing program and hire additional, experienced, motivated full-time and “fly-in” crew members and drivers, interested in racing KTM X-BOW GT4 or other cars in the 2016 Pirelli World Challenge.
