ANSA SCORED THREE PODIUM FINISHES IN TWO RACES

ANSA Motorsports started their Cooper Tires Prototype Lites program with round 1 and 2 of the 2015 season at Sebring International raceway earlier this week. IMG_5530 The team entered two cars for the season opener: one in class L1 for a new comer in Prototype Lites, Frenchman, Nico Jamin, and one for an experienced racer in class L2, Ludovico Manfredi. On Thursday, Nico Jamin qualified 7th in L1 and Manfredi 3rd in L2. Jamin was looking forward for his first non open-wheel race in America and was ready to challenge some of the best Prototype Lites drivers entered in the 2015 championship. He took a great start and rapidly moved his way up to fourth then third. After the 30-minute race, he claimed his first non open-wheel racing podium and his first 3rd place finish in the Cooper Tires Prototype Lites. IMG_5568 Ludovico Manfredi had a good race too until his car suffered a break failure towards the end of the race and was the victim of a bad crash. He was taken to the track hospital and cleared, but his car had heavy damage. Despite this unexpected accident, Manfredi managed to score his first podium finish of the year in race 1, he finished 3rd but was not able to attend the podium ceremony. ANSA Motorsports crew led by ANSA Motorsports team owner, Alain Nadal, had an outstanding task in front of them since they had to repair the No. 30 prototype for race 2. Nadal and his crew spent the entire night working on the car and in the early hours of the morning, the car was back on four wheels, ready to compete again. IMG_5529 Jamin qualified 5th for race 2 and was looking to score another podium but unfortunately, while running in 4th place, the No. 4 Synova Cooper Tires Prototype Lites powered by Mazda suffered an unexpected transmission problem that ended the Frenchman’s hope to finish in the top three for the second time in a row. Manfredi started 3rd in class in round 2 and had a great 45-minute race with his rebuilt car and crossed the finish line in third place and scored another L2 class podium finish. IMG_5690 Three podium finishes in only two races for ANSA Motorsports is a great result. The Miami team learned a lot throughout the weekend and is now looking to compete in more events. The two-car ANSA Motorsports team is seeking additional drivers interested to do well with them in the upcoming races of this exciting series.
