Young, promising, 19-year-old, American racer Dore Chaponick Jr. is back at ANSA Motorsports for the last three Pirelli World Challenge GTS events. Chaponick will drive the No. 12 ANSA Motorsports KTM X-Bow GT4 at Utah Motorsports Campus (Aug. 12-14), Sonoma International Raceway (Sept. 16-18) and Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca (Oct. 7-9). With Chaponick’s return, ANSA motorsports will field three KTM X-Bow GT4 cars: The No. 13 for GTS championship leader Brett Sandberg, the No. 9 for Bill Ziegler and the No. 12 for Chaponick. Chaponick competed in the first eight rounds of the 2016 Pirelli World Challenge GTS championship season. The driver from Miami, Florida, showed some great speed and scored 415 points. After his short break, he is really focused on his personal goal and is looking to score some podium finishes. Chaponick should be a great asset for ANSA Motorsports, since the Miami Gardens, Florida, team is on a path to score big at the end of the season. ANSA is in contention for the driver championship with Brett Sandberg, but also to win the GTS team championship, where ANSA currently sits in third place. In addition, ANSA Motorsports has been the biggest championship point contributor for KTM so far, and the manufacturer from Austria is currently leading the 2016 Pirelli World Challenge GTS manufacturer championship, after 13 of 19 rounds scheduled.
