The 2014 and 2015 Pirelli World Challenge TCA driver’s champion, Jason Wolfe, 21, from Mt Vernon, Ohio, will join ANSA Motorsports for the 2016 Pirelli World Challenge GTS championship season finale at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca in California on Oct. 7-9. image-22-09-16-12-31 Wolfe will make his debut with ANSA Motorsports in the Pirelli World Challenge GTS championship and will drive the No. 12 ANSA Motorsports KTM X-Bow GT4 in rounds 18 and 19 alongside the two other team drivers, GTS driver championship leader Brett Sandberg and Bill Ziegler. “I'm very happy to be joining ANSA Motorsports for the final race at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca -- my first race in the GTS category,” Wolfe said. “With the success the team has had this year, I feel the car is a very good platform for the GTS class and especially fitting for the track. I'm looking forward to a great race and excited to take that step into GTS racing!” _cgi0849-2 Wolfe started racing go-karts in 2004, then transitioned to open-wheel cars until 2013. He moved up to the Pirelli World Challenge TCA championship in 2014 and won the 2014 and 2015 Pirelli World Challenge TCA driver’s championships, scoring five wins in 2014 and eight wins in 2015. Since 2014, Wolfe recorded an impressive 32 top-five finishes in 36 races. He was crowned 2014 Rookie of the Year and helped Kia win the 2014 Pirelli World Challenge TCA manufacturers’ championship. “I am happy to have Jason Wolfe join our team for the final two GTS rounds,” announced ANSA Motorsports co-team owner Alain Nadal. “Jason is a serious competitor who won the last two Pirelli World Challenge TCA driver’s championships in 2014 and 2015. I am really looking forward to seeing him behind the wheel of our KTM and helping us score key points for the team and manufacturer’s championships.” In 2016, Wolfe competed in four rounds of the 2016 Pirelli World Challenge TCA championship with Kia and registered three wins and a second-place finish. Wolfe is also a former TCA race winner at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, and he will be looking to race the No. 12 ANSA Motorsports KTM in front of the GTS pack during the two rounds of the 2016 GTS season finale.
