LORENZO TREFETHEN READY FOR ANOTHER MID-OHIO GT-CUP BATTLE

  ANSA Motorsports racer Lorenzo Trefethen is ready to head to Lexington, Ohio, for the next two rounds of the 2015 StopTech Grand Prix presented by MOMO, July 31-August 2. ghg Trefethen enjoys a second-place championship ranking in the GT-Cup class, after 11 rounds. The Napa Valley driver has a one-point lead over the third-place driver, and the California racer will have to deliver a stellar performance to stay ahead on Sunday night. Trefethen knows how to race hard with the top drivers of the series and already demonstrated his great talent several times this season. He scored his first podium finishes after only two races and won his first GT-Cup race after only nine races. Trefethen will drive the No. 13 Trefethen Family Vineyards/750 Group/BRM Chronographes/PitStop Furniture/Durango Operating Porsche GT3 Cup at Mid-Ohio. He and ANSA Motorsports have now gelled together and are prepared to have two good races. mid_ohio_600 Trefethen likes racing on the challenging 2.258-mile, 13-turn Mid-Ohio sports-car course. With seven races to go in the season, Trefethen is eager to start practicing on Thursday. “We had some challenges at Road America and though I raced smart and maintained my second position in the championship. We’ve worked hard on the issues that came up and I’ve learned a lot in the testing I’ve done last week. Can’t wait to apply those lessons at Mid-Ohio and get back to racing door-to-door with the leaders,” Trefethen said. ANSA Motorsports continues to grow and is getting ready to move to a new, state-of-the-art, 30,000- square-foot facility, located in Miami Gardens, Fl. The new ANSA Miami motorsports center is located in a desirable area of town at the crossroads of multiple freeways, providing easy access for ANSA customers. The new facility features a unique, secured, active-storage area, an innovative tuning shop and, of course, the motorsports shop itself. IMG_6755 The Mid-Ohio race week will start on Wednesday night, July 29 with a Trefethen Family vineyards wine tasting at The Cabin Tavern & Grill in Ashland. Trefethen will be there to conduct the wine tasting and sign autographs. Following a promoter test day, scheduled for Thursday, July 30, the Mid-Ohio StopTech Grand Prix presented by MOMO event will start with a practice session on Friday, July 31, at 6:55 p.m. EDT. Qualifying is set for Saturday, August 1, at 8:50 a.m. EDT. Race 1 at Mid-Ohio is also scheduled for Saturday at 4:45 p.m. EDT and race 2 on Sunday, August 2, at noon EDT. The Mid-Ohio StopTech Grand Prix presented by MOMO GT-Cup race will air on CBS Sports Network Sunday, Aug, 9, at 4 p.m. EDT.
