NORTH AMERICAN RACING DEBUT FOR THE KTM X-BOW GT4 THIS WEEK AT FARA USA RACE OF CHAMPIONS
ANSA Motorsports will participate in the 2015 FARA USA race of Champions this weekend at Homsetead Miami Speedway in Florida.
18-year old driver from Miami, Fla., Dore Chaponick Jr. will pair with ANSA Motorsports team owner, Alain Nadal in the all-new REITER Engineering KTM X-BOW GT4.
Born in 1996, Chaponick has been around motorsports his entire life. He began karting at the young age of 8 and has been behind the wheel ever since. Highlighting his career in karting thus far is his 2008 Florida Winter Tour Rotax Mini-Max Championship, where, racing against racers from all over the world, Chaponick earned three victories and five podiums in six events to earn the honor. In 2010, Chaponick claimed the Pan Am Rotax Junior Vice-Championship, and a berth on Team USA and a trip to Italy for the Rotax Max Challenge Grand Finals. In 2011, Chaponick earned the title of Florida Winter Tour Rotax Junior Champion and will make a return trip to the Rotax Max Challenge Grand Finals with Team USA in November at the Al-Ain Raceway in Al-Ain, United Arab Emirates. In 2012, Chaponick had an extensive European test program in Formula 3, Formula E and Formula Abarth. In 2013, he made his open-wheel racing debut in North America, competing in the US F-1000 until last year.
Chaponick competed with ANSA Motorsports in four rounds of the 2015 Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge USA this year. He is now ready to make history at FARA USA Race of Champions and be the first driver in North america behind the wheel of a KTM racecar.
This will be the first ever race of the KTM X-BOW GT4 in North America.
In 2015, the KTM X-BOW GT4 showed an impressive performance. With its multiple victories in the GT4 European Series and with scoring a podium finish in every race that the car was entered in so far, it is the new kid on the GT4 block.
Next year, ANSA Motorsports plans to compete with multiple KTM X-BOW GT4 race cars in the Pirelli World Challenge GTS class.
The KTM X-BOW GT4 features the most advanced racing technology, which is usually only the case in higher categories. In matters of safety, the monocoque technology offers a never-before-seen, unique protection for this class to date. The vehicle showcases the typically futuristic KTM design. Not only is the overall design impressive, but the technology behind the completely redesigned exterior is state-of-the-art. Since the new car is based on its predecessor KTM X-BOW, essentially the customer gets a racing car with more than six years of accumulated data and experience on circuits worldwide. The new X-BOW GT4 made its debut May 2015 in the European GT4 series and already has won its first Championship in the GT4 AM drivers class.
Earlier this year, Nadal reached an agreement with REITER Engineering’s owner, Hans Reiter, to become a REITER Engineering dealer. Since then, ANSA Motorsports markets the REITER Engineering Lamborghini Gallardo GT3, the REITER Engineering SaReNi Camaro GT3 and the new, exciting KTM X-BOW GT4 race car. Reams and drivers interested to purchase one of the RETITER Engineering cars including the new KTM X-BOW, can contact Emmanuel Lupe at el@ansamiami.com.
