PODIUM FINISH IN RACE 1 FOR LORENZO TREFETHEN AT CTMP
ANSA Motorsports driver Lorenzo Trefethen, driving the No. 13 Trefethen Family Vineyards/BRM Chronographes/ Porsche, finished third today at Canadian Motorport Park in Canada, round 8 of the 2015 Pirelli World Challenge Championship (GT-Cup class).
This is Trefthen’s third podium finish of the year after the two podiums scored in St Pete earlier this season. ANSA Motorsports crew led by Bobby Mouzayck did a great job to prepare the Porsche and team owner, Alain Nadal, wants to thank the entire team for this positive result.
Last Thursday, Trefethen worked closely with Canadian pro-driver, Louis Philippe Dumoulin, who knows Mosport really well. The two spent some precious time working on lines, breaking zones and set-up, and the work paid off today with this encouraging result.
"What a welcome to Canada!” Trefethen said. “To finish on the podium on my first visit to this historic track is just awesome. I'm just - I'm all smiles. We definitely felt the pressure from Phil Fogg Jr. at the end there on the white flag restart, but we were able to hold him off and enjoy a Champagne shower. I can't wait to do it again tomorrow."
After round 8, Trefethen stands third in the 2015 Pirelli World Challenge (GT-Cup) point standings.
Trefethen will start fourth on the grid in race 2. The 50-minute race is set for tomorrow, Sunday, May 17 at 3:10 p.m. EDT. Watch the race live at www.world-challengetv.com.
