ANSA MOTORSPORTS LOOKING TO SCORE PODIUMS AT SEBRING

ANSA Motorsports is heading to Sebring International Raceway for the season opener of the Cooper Tires Prototype Lites Powered by Mazda with podium ambitions.
ANSA Motorsports will compete in the Sebring season opener racing two Prototype Lites: one in L1 class for a young, promising 19-year-old Frenchman, Nico Jamin, who just won the USF2000 Cooper Tires Winterfest, and one in L2 class for Ludovico Manfredi.
ANSA Motorsports won the IMSA Cooper Tires Prototype Lites Powered by Mazda L2 Team Championship in 2013. Last year, ANSA scored four podium finishes, with Ludovico Manfredi in the L2 class. At Sebring, Ludovico Manfredi will drive the No. 30 ANSA Motorsports /MOMO Prototype Lites Mazda L2. ANSA’s goal for this year is to start the season earning podium finishes in both classes
“We are very pleased to continue racing in the Cooper Tires Prototype Lites Powered by Mazda,” said ANSA Motorsports team owner, Alain Nadal. “I am very interested to see how ANSA Motorsports’ “protégé”, Nico Jamin, is going to adapt from driving his F2000 to a Prototype Lites. I think Nico and Ludovico both have chances to score podium finishes at Sebring.”
Nico Jamin will drive the No. 4 ANSA Motorsports / Synova Prototype Lites Mazda L1. Jamin is making his Cooper Tires Prototype Lites Powered by Mazda racing debut at Sebring International Raceway this week. Jamin’s primary racing program this year is in the USF2000. He was hired to drive one of Cape Motorsports with Wayne Taylor Racing’s racecars in the 2015 Cooper Tires USF2000 National Championship Powered by Mazda. The regular 2015 Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship Powered by Mazda season starts next week on the streets of St. Petersburg, Florida, March 28-29.
“I am very excited by this first Cooper Tires Prototype Lites Powered by Mazda event at Sebring,” Jamin said. “I tested and raced ANSA Motorsports Prototype Lites’ racecar this winter, and I really loved it. The car has a ton of downforce, and the Mazda engine is great, too. I’m sure it will be very interesting to drive in the two races, especially around the iconic Sebring Raceway. I know the series is competitive, but I want to win this race so bad. It would be a dream for me to win my first race at Sebring, just before the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours. Many TUDOR championship team owners will be watching for the new “young guns” to hire for their teams. Also, for me it’s a great opportunity to be racing one week before the first rounds of the USF2000 season. It will be great preparation.”
Jamin and Manfredi will be on track this Tuesday at Sebring. Race 1 of the Cooper Tires Prototype Lites Powered by Mazda is set for Thursday, March 19, at 1:35 p.m. EDT and race 2 for Friday, March 20, at 8:45 a.m. EDT.
